Floor Inventory Specialist / Housekeeping

This position is responsible for in-store inventory and control and for the cleaning of all store and office areas according to OSHA regulations for proper work environment.

Full time, non-exempt; High school diploma or GED required.


  • Provide customer service in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Pull, tag, and prepare for delivery, all in-store inventory on a per order basis
  • Follow established corporate procedures when receiving, checking and stocking in-store inventory
  • Execute all in-store price changes as directed by Store Manager / Hardware Purchaser
  • Advise hardware purchaser of stock requirements
  • Maintain a sales floor presence with the goal of securing and protecting company property at all times
  • Follow established security procedures at all times
  • Mop and scrub floors on a regular basis
  • Empty all wastebaskets and dispose of all materials designated for disposal as scheduled
  • Vacuum carpets on a regular basis; clean carpets as needed
  • Clean Sales counters
  • Clean all restrooms (i.e. floors, sinks, etc.)
  • Wash all windows in the office and store area
  • Advise management of the need for repair or replacement of structured materials or display systems
  • Use proper cleaning agents and materials
  • Maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand and walk
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to speak and hear
  • Ability to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
  • Manual dexterity
  • Strength:  lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

Environment and Physical Working Conditions:

  • Work near moving mechanical parts, and in outside weather conditions
  • Moderate noise level

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

  • Must be able to read and write
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must be able to follow instructions provided in written or verbal form
  • Must have ability to deal with issues involving concrete variables in standardized situations

Reports To: Store Manager

Installer - Doors & Windows

This position is responsible for professionally installing doors and windows on new construction building sites and residential homes. Responsibilities also include removing old windows, using power tools, taking measurements, fixing units, sealing fittings and cleaning up the job site.

Full time, non-exempt; High school diploma or GED required.


  • Install product and companion products in specified relationship to each other
  • Complete required documentation
  • Maintain safe working environment adhering to all safety rules
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex installation issues
  • Load and unload materials from truck to work site
  • Complete window / door removals and installations in a timely manner
  • Effectively work with team to achieve desired results and perform duties safely
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns, applying the company goal concept: PLEASE (See above)
  • Effective and safe use of hand tools and portable power tools
  • Maintain trailer tools and supplies in an orderly and clean environment
  • Maintain worksite in a clean and orderly environment
  • Comply with operational safety and security policies and procedures
  • Attends and participates in all company-sponsored training programs as required

  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate at times

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience, trim carpentry
  • Must have ability to read and write
  • Must have ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one situations
  • Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all common units of measure
  • Must have ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
  • Must have ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Must possess good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess strong Customer Service skills
  • Must possess solid knowledge of building materials products, doors and windows in particular
  • Must project a professional demeanor and appearance
  • Must demonstrate strong work ethic and dependability daily

  • Valid driver’s license of the appropriate type and class
