Trex Hideaway®

Hidden Fastening System

Trex Hideaway is our hidden fastening system designed specifically for Trex® grooved deck boards. With the help of partner companies, we have developed proprietary systems that deliver fast and easy installations, resulting in smooth, fastener-free outdoor living spaces.

Connector Clip

Trex Hideaway features three unique clips:

Universal Fastener

Universal Hidden Fastener: For use between deck boards.
Available in 50 sq. ft. box or 500 sq. ft. bucket.

Designed specifically to meet decking contractor demand for increased ease and speed of assembly, the new Trex Hideaway Universal Hidden Fastener is approximately 40 percent stronger than traditional stainless steel fasteners.

This extension to the popular Trex Hideaway Hidden Fastening System features a stainless steel screw already set in the fastener for increased durability and easier installation. Offering a clean surface appearance, the Universal Hidden Fastener is a 1/4-inch self-gapping connector clip that may be installed from above the framework – rather than from underneath the actual deck. Homeowners will benefit from the affordability of the Universal Hidden Fastener, as it boasts the lowest installed cost in the marketplace.

Start/Stop Clip Connector Clip

Start/Stop Clip: For use on perimeter boards. Available in 400 sq. ft. bag.
 

Connector Clip: For use between deck boards. Available in 50 sq. ft. box or 500 sq. ft. bucket.

Our Start/Stop and Connector Clips are black, stainless steel fasteners exclusively designed for Trex. These clips offer the same quick and easy installation resulting in a fastener-free deck surface, however these clips are made of stainless steel offering superior durability. These clips are designed exclusively for use with Trex decking.

  • 0.75 Start/Stop Clips needed for every 1 lineal foot of decking. For example, 40 feet of decking would require 30 Start/Stop Clips.

The use of other hidden fastener systems with Trex grooved boards may damage the board or result in the boards not being adequately fastened to the joist system.

A Groove Cutter is available for use on non-grooved boards that allows for a groove to be routed to accommodate Trex Hideaway Hidden Fasteners.
